This golden ring on my fourth finger,
Reminds me of love when troubles linger,
Calls to memory that solemn vow,
To follow undaunted no matter how.
When tempted to withhold my affection,
Or beguiled not to give my attention,
Then I remembered that faithful day,
Our hearts ere the altar fused to pray.
This cord springs greater joy now,
Than can be measured by the prize of cow,
To you my love, I give my all,
While I stay resting in your hall.
