Entangled arms around a dream,
And sleep never touched me again
Kissed the face of dusk
And fall from a lover into another lover's realm
Sang a poem i never knew i learnt
Under the carol, i wish i could gleam
Concealed the feel, i whispered a prayer
Overlaid a name on another on another on another
Above my cupped hands,
I secluded the idea of every end that stands
Of the fear that on our doorstep, rants
Of all this i saw and of all this I'd see
Still i entangled my arms around a dream

Poet's note: I wrote this poem thinking about night and the insomnia it brings for me. I wrote this a year back on a dark winter night, talking about the sensational stories behind the things we love. And how we continue to choose them even after being devastated by their touch.
