The ache and agony that sprouted
From your bones
All the way
Colored your skin
Still you look back to the things
That don't hold you
And i saw
You
Drenched in sin
Still praying for him
I witnessed your love
For something
That does not love you back
And who is in whose debt
When you yourself chose to forget
I saw
You
Blue with grief
And crimson with love
But you don't see
How far you've come
All the way
When you bled
And fainted
Like the day
Slowly, resting
In the arms of an evening
That will die
In debt
Soon
And you would too
We Shall Die In Debt.

Poet's note: This poem is about the people who we hold dear and close to us. These are the people we owe to. In our lives, they are loved and love brings with it agony and grief.
Every day, we are in someone's debt and one day, we will just die like that.
