Voices Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEAF GHIHJKLK MNONPQRQ

Who is it calling by the darkened riverA
Where the moss lies smooth and deepB
And the dark trees lean unmoving armsC
Silent and vague in sleepB
And the bright heeled constellations passD
In splendour through the gloomE
Who is it calling o'er the darkened riverA
In music ComeF
-
Who is it wandering in the summer meadowsG
Where the children stoop and playH
In the green faint scented flowers spinningI
The guileless hours awayH
Who touches their bright hair who putsJ
A wind shell to each cheekK
Whispering betwixt its breathing silencesL
Seek seekK
-
Who is it watching in the gathering twilightM
When the curfew bird hath flownN
On eager wings from song to silenceO
To its darkened nest aloneN
Who takes for brightening eyes the starsP
For locks the still moonbeamQ
Sighs through the dews of evening peacefullyR
Falling DreamQ
