The Ship Of Rio Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEAEFGHGIJKJILML INON

There was a ship of RioA
Sailed out into the blueB
And nine and ninety monkeysC
Were all her jovial crewB
From bo'sun to the cabin boyD
From quarter to cabooseE
There weren't a stitch of calicoA
To breech 'em tight or looseE
From spar to deck from deck to keelF
From barnacle to shroudG
There weren't one pair of reach me downsH
To all that jabbering crowdG
But wasn't it a gladsome sightI
When roared the deep sea galesJ
To see them reef her fore and aftK
A swinging by their tailsJ
Oh wasn't it a gladsome sightI
When glassy calm did comeL
To see them squatting tailor wiseM
Around a keg of rumL
Oh wasn't it a gladsome sightI
When in she sailed to landN
To see them all a scampering skipO
For nuts across the sandN
