I Saw Three Witches Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEC AFGBHG AIJAAJ ABKLBK

I saw three witchesA
That bowed down like barleyB
And took to their brooms 'neath a louring skyC
And mounting a storm cloudD
Aloft on its marginE
Stood black in the silver as up they did flyC
-
I saw three witchesA
That mocked the poor sparrowsF
They carried in cages of wicker alongG
Till a hawk from his eyrieB
Swooped down like an arrowH
And smote on the cages and ended their songG
-
I saw three witchesA
That sailed in a shallopI
All turning their heads with a truculent smileJ
Till a bank of green osiersA
Concealed their grim facesA
Though I heard them lamenting for many a mileJ
-
I saw three witchesA
Asleep in a valleyB
Their heads in a row like stones in a floodK
Till the moon creeping upwardL
Looked white through the valleyB
And turned them to bushes in bright scarlet budK
