Yesterday I was in Africa,
At day break I got lost,
I now see myself in Europe and America,
My identity is lost at first,
A complete missing location ,
That has left me wondering in frustration,
I love sleeping and breathing in huts,
As the modern ones get me hurt as they hot.
The skins of animals I want to wear ,
And the urgent sounds of drums I want to hear,
I dream of those lovable Africans that used to share ,
Where are those caressing moms that love and care?
And the pastoral lives we live ,
The unforgettable religion we believe ?
Where are those hefty, healthy and brave Africa men ?
With their fresh and demanding and sweet African hen ?
We only hear their faded tales.
That whet our desires for our African shades .
