Oh! Breathe Not His Name Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDD

Oh breathe not his name let it sleep in the shadeA
Where cold and unhonour'd his relics are laidA
Sad silent and dark be the tears that we shedB
As the night dew that falls on the grass o'er his headB
-
But the night dew that falls though in silence it weepsC
Shall brighten with verdure the grave where he sleepsC
And the tear that we shed though in secret it rollsD
Shall long keep his memory green in our soulsD
