Rhyme Scheme: ABCDDAB CAEFGG HHDD

'There is not much that I can doA
For I've no money that's quite my own 'B
Spoke up the pitying childC
A little boy with a violinD
At the station before the train came inD
'But I can play my fiddle to youA
And a nice one 'tis and good in tone 'B
-
The man in the handcuffs smiledC
The constable looked and he smiled tooA
As the fiddle began to twangE
And the man in the handcuffs suddenly sangF
With grimful gleeG
'This life so freeG
Is the thing for me '-
And the constable smiled and said no wordH
As if unconscious of what he heardH
And so they went on till the train came inD
The convict and boy with the violinD
