Sonnet To Music. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFGHHG

Hail Heavenly Maid my pensive mindA
Invokes thy woe subduing strainB
For there a shield my soul can findA
Which subjugates each dagger'd painB
When beauty spurns the lover's sighsC
'Tis thine soft pity to inspireD
And cold indifference vanquish'd liesC
Beneath thy myrtle vested lyreD
Oh could contention's demon hearE
Thy seraph voice his blood lav'd spearF
He'd drop and own thy powerG
That smiling o'er each hapless landH
Sweet peace might call her hallow'd bandH
To crown the festive hourG
