Sonnet Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCDEFGFHH

When the rough storm roars round the peasant's cotA
And bursting thunders roll their awful dinB
While shrieks the frighted night bird o'er the spotA
Oh what serenity remains withinB
For there Contentment Health and Peace abideC
And pillow'd age with calm eye fix'd aboveD
Labor's bold son his blithe and blooming brideC
And lisping innocence and filial loveD
To such a scene let proud Ambition turnE
Whose aching breast conceals it's secret woeF
Then shall his fireful spirit melt and mournG
The mild enjoyments it can never knowF
Then shall he feel the littleness of stateH
And sigh that Fortune e'er had made him greatH
