Every time I want to take a significant step in my life | B |
I hear echoes of menaces whimpering inside my cranium | C |
An unseen voice whispering to me that I cannot make it | D |
My hopes deflate like a punctured balloon and I give up | E |

I am convinced there is an antagonist in my intellect | F |
The terrorist who dwells upstairs and regulates my decisions | G |
I suspect he is not on my side he must be an opponent | H |
Because he hasn t told me anything constructive yet | I |
His diction contains threats discouragements and negativity | J |

I know very well that all the things we want in life are possible | K |
But from whence do these debilitating testimonials come | C |
Because whenever it s about kick off he is a step ahead | L |
He gives me thoughts of people who tried and then flunked | M |
Causing me to forget that failure on first attempt is an enzyme | N |

Even when I decide to appeal to the Almighty for favours | G |
The one in my psyche throws the verdict before I get to the last amen | O |
And I m left with no other option than to cut it short | P |
I cut it short because I hate wasting time for nothing | A |
Delayed bouts are not my type of entertainment | H |

I can t sleep trying to figure out a way to get rid of the terrorist | Q |
I can hardly sleep thinking about the undeniable fact | R |
The fact that the terrorist is stronger than I am | S |
Yet he is none other than my fearful version | T |
The one that is extremely difficult to consolidate | U |

I have depended on this terrorist for a long time but I ve had enough | V |
My decisions have long rested on his wishes but not anymore | W |
For I discovered the terrorist is a propagandist | X |
Disheartenment is his tone and pessimism his accent | Y |
My respects have ceased and I will listen to him no more | W |
