I loved her more than she could imagineA
Esteemed her more than she could envisionA
She was my reverie from the moment we did chanceB
But I was nestled in masks of fear and pretenseC
-
I didn t know what was in her withinD
I had what they call fear of the unknownE
I didn t know how to let my plea to her knownE
My heart would pound grievously whenever she was closeF
Sweet sweat trickling down my body and dots on my noseG
And for a short time I would lose sight in imaginationA
-
One Thursday evening I was determinedH
But still the apostrophes kept flying in my mindI
How was she going to answer my long waited love callJ
What if she freaked out and never wanted to see me anymoreK
But at this point I had no other option than to try hardL
-
It was dark but that was not enough to confiscate my anxietyM
After some contemplation my eyes brought back realityM
And my soul filled my mouth with those three wordsN
That I released fast like when a grenade explodesO
And I was like a pupil who just submitted an overdue projectP
-
When I finally opened up it was like a dream half dreamtQ
She was one person under the sun I could be myself aroundR
An oasis of pure cold water in the dessert newly foundR
One woman with whom my blessings I reckoned alwaysS
I cannot describe how I felt whenever she was around no waysS
I can never do justice she was just cool and profoundR
-
All of my questions and queries she elucidated perfectlyM
We could spend the whole nocturne just chatting joviallyM
I could get crazy with her and forget everything elseT
I learnt a lot from her and that boosted my hopesU
She was just a cool human being fashioned perfectlyM
-
I thought there was no one else on earth I could be compatible withV
We were seemingly meant for each other checking all perspectivesW
I loved her and not anything about her but just herX
And she loved me just as I was I knew quite wellM
But I don t know when exactly all the horror commencedY
-
It was one evening when I heard can we be just friends againZ
But since I thought it was dream I had every reason to complainA2
I tried to negotiate and plead for clemencies but it was uselessB2
All my cries and pleas she never entertained or paid courtesyM
Just like that it was over and I couldn t bear the painA2
-
When I finally believed it was not a dream I wailedC2
I weighed everything that she had done and saidD2
And realized I had to face fate that way without negotiationsE2
I asked for forgiveness in case I did something iniquitousE2
And spent the following whole day and night in bedsteadD2
-
I thought she would realize what she did and come to her sensesE2
But now I understand she knew exactly her intentsE2
Whatever made her decide be it because of anotherX
Or was she just an emissary of doom I no longer botherX
What I know is someone who meant a lot to me packed her bagsE2
I don t know where everything came from and how it goesE2
But she was CoolM
