| Nothing really seem to be my shock | A |
| But it appears a wonder | B |
| How today is missing from the calendar | B |

| Yesterday is the last I see | C |
| A new page oh can it be | C |
| Could there have been a mistake | D |
| Or a correction to make | D |

| I have an answer to my query | C |
| Yesterday ended an old story | C |
| Closing a whole chapter of worry | C |

| And now a blank page to write life anew | E |
| To write on each line a word of joy that only a few | E |
| Can read to the end without joyfully shedding a tear | F |
| I'm not living on this page like yesterday for I now know that It's a Brand New Year | G |
