Pain Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBCDDADEF AGAHHBADIDDJKD

Man was born to feel painA
To suffer and to dieB
His first entry into the world was a cryB
The first of many to comeC
His entire existence he laboursD
But outer powers do him no favoursD
For all his labours are in vainA
For brief instances cruel godsD
Grant him joyE
Mere commercials to the main showF
-
But man was not born to only feel painA
For how can one feel pain if it is not afflictedG
Man was also born to cause painA
His first entry was announced by the wails of anotherH
His every success means another's failureH
His every laugh is another's cryB
Is man really deserving of his painA
He is not oblivious to the pain he causesD
He monopolizes suffering for his benefitI
He plays the role of the godsD
Granting his fellow man an illusion of happinessD
After playing this game of tagJ
One thing is for certainK
His last exit shall be marked with tearsD
