| A taste of bitterness in her mouth | G |
| She groans and travails in pain | H |
| Her children are now a burden | I |
| So much wickedness she can't anymore | J |
| She's really tired with all the opposition | I |
| Broken by all the negativities hitting her | K |
| She has decided to let her feeling out | L |
| The land is dried thirsty | M |
| They say the whole world is weeping | N |
| But Africa is wailing crying out loud | O |
| She's hurt hurt beyond repair | P |
| She's suffering Mother Africa is suffering | N |
| Oh Brethren can't we see | M |
| Can't we see the suffering weep | Q |
| Can't we see she's hurt too deep | Q |
| Can't we see there's no more dignity to keep | Q |
| Our Mother is crying | N |
| They assume we are undeveloped and need all the help in the world | R |
| No they didn't do this we created the image ourselves | S |
| We grew up with the mentality drummed into our minds that Africans are 'suppossed' to be like this | T |
| Not doubting that mentality we have made it a reality | M |
| And that reality is leading to our fatality | M |
| Mother Africa is crying | N |
| Development all around us but we don't see it | U |
| We are utilised made to think we're the poor useless ones | V |
| But we're strong | W |
| Though we cry our eyes do not redden | I |
| They're tears for a better future | K |
| A better future that depends on our present | X |
| Africa is dying | N |
| She's dying but not dead | F |

| We need to keep her alive | Z |
| For when she dies we live no more | J |
