Born To Fight Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDF GHIH JKJK

I'm a soldier long before birth I've beenA
Swam with thousands of my kindB
First ever victory to be seenC
A tough race of an egg to findB
-
I'm a soldier mama told me I'mD
I battled myself and wonE
And till my life is over I know I'mD
For my night knows no rest till dawnF
-
I'm a soldier I was born in a world of warG
Where every man fought for his lifeH
Fought for what to eat no sweet only bitter and sourI
No sweet honey to be splashed with a knifeH
-
I'm a soldier and I shall not retreatJ
For the world keeps fightingK
And till my last flesh serves the scavenger with meatJ
I shall keep fightingK
