A New Dawn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB CCDC CEFC GHCC

I wish I could say a goodbyeA
Yes maybe I couldB
-
Goodbye to the one that brought darkness and sorrowC
Goodbye to ye that did not favourC
Goodbye to the memories not worth keepingD
To the dusk that seemed to last foreverC
-
Alas a new dawn is hereC
At the crow of the cock comes a new beginning a new moon a new stanzaE
An answer to our prayersF
Our cry to see a new yearC
-
I can see a lightG
A light at the start of a new revolutionH
And as to whether it could be any betterC
Our hope our wish is for a Happy New YearC
