Wonder Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGHGI JKJKLDLD

For failure I was well equippedA
And should have come to griefB
By atavism grimly grippedA
A fool beyond beliefB
But lo the Lord was good to meC
And with a heart to singD
He gave me to a rare degreeC
The Gift of WonderingD
-
I could not play a stalwart partE
My shoddy soul to saveF
And should have gone with broken heartE
A begger to the graveF
But praise to my anointed sightG
As wandering I wentH
I sang of living with delightG
In terms of WondermentI
-
Aye starry eyed did I rejoiceJ
With marvel of a childK
And there were those who heard my voiceJ
Although my words were wildK
So as I go my wistful wayL
With worship let me singD
A treasure to my farewell dayL
God's Gift of WonderingD
