Wistful Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDD EEFFGGHH IIJJKKLM NNOOPPCC

Oh how I'd be gay and gladA
If a little house I hadA
Snuggled in a shady lotB
With behind a garden plotB
Simple grub old duds to wearC
A book a pipe a rocking chairC
You would never hear me grouseD
If I had a little houseD
-
Oh if I had just enoughE
Dough to buy the needful stuffE
Milk and porridge toast and teaF
How contented I would beF
You could have your cake and wineG
I on cabbage soup would dineG
Joking to the journey's endH
Had I just enough to spendH
-
Oh had I no boss to pleaseI
I'd give thanks on bended kneesI
Could I to myself belongJ
I would fill the day with songJ
Freedom's crust is sweeter farK
Than control and caviarK
How my ragged hat I'd tossL
If I didn't have a bossM
-
So you may see my point of viewN
But there's nothing I can doN
Oh the weariness of workO
Duties that I may not shirkO
Though simplicity I craveP
I must go down to my graveP
Bossed by bullion crossed by careC
Just a poor damn millionaireC
