Visibility Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACAC ADADAD EFEFEF GHGHGH

Because my eyes were none to brightA
Strong spectacles I boughtB
And lo there sprang into my sightA
A life beyond my thoughtC
A world of wonder and delightA
My magic lenses broughtC
-
Aye sudden leaping in my sightA
The far became the nearD
Life unbelievably was brightA
And vividly was clearD
My heart was lifted with delightA
Then then I shrank in fearD
-
For faces I had thought were gayE
I saw were lined with careF
While strange corruption and decayE
Surprised me everywhereF
Dismayed I put my specs awayE
Such truth I could not bearF
-
And now I do not want to seeG
With clarity of viewH
For while there's heaven hell may beG
More tragically trueH
Though dim may be RealityG
Sheer love shines throughH
