Vain Venture Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDE FGFGHIHI JKJKILIL

To have a business of my ownA
With toil and tearsB
I wore my fingers to the boneA
For weary yearsC
With stoic heart for sordid goldD
In patient painE
My life and liberty I soldD
For others gainE
-
I scrimped and scraped as cent by centF
My savings grewG
I found a faded shop for rentF
Made it like newG
Above the door the paint was dryH
Where glowed my nameI
I waited there for folks to buyH
But no one cameI
-
Now I am back where I beganJ
Myself I sellK
I grovel to a greedy manJ
And life is hellK
An empty shop of bankrupt shameI
I pass beforeL
Seeing my bitter bleary nameI
Above the doorL
