Two Words Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD AEAEFGFG HIHJ KBK

'God' is composed of letters threeA
But if you put an 'l'B
Before the last it seems to meA
A synonym for HellB
For all of envy greed and hateC
The human heart can holdD
Respond unto the devil's baitC
Of GoldD
-
When God created Gold to beA
For our adorning fitE
I little think he dreamed that weA
Would come to worship itE
But when you ruefully have scannedF
The chronicles of TimeG
You'll find that lucre lends a handF
To CrimeG
-
So if you are a millionaireH
To be of Heaven sureI
Give every penny you can spareH
Unto the sick and poorJ
From Gold strike out the evil 'ell '-
And so with letters oddK
You can with peace of spirit spellB
Just GODK
