Unpenitent I grieve to stateA
Two good men stood by heaven's gateA
Saint Peter coming to awaitA
The stopped the Keeper of the KeysB
Saying quot What suppliants are theseB
Who wait me not on bended kneesB
-
quot To get my heavenly OkayC
A man should have been used to prayC
Or suffered in some grievous way quotA
-
quot Oh I have suffered quot cried the firstA
quot Of wives I had the wicked worstA
Who made my life a plague accurstA
-
quot Such martyrdom no tongue can tellD
In mercy's name it is not wellD
To doom me to another hell quotA
-
Saint Peter said quot I comprehendA
But tribulations have their endA
The gate is open go my friend quotA
-
Then said the second quot What of meE
More I deserve to pass than heE
For I've been wedded twice you see quotA
-
Saint Peter looked at him a whileF
And then he answered with a smileF
quot Your application I will fileF
-
quot Yet twice in double yoke you've drivenG
Though sinners with our Saints we leavenG
We don't take IMBECILES in heaven quotA
