Maybe that's why he's toiling when | A |

But though I would some of his brood | C |

He's clad them neat | G |
They've never wanted I am sure | H |
For bite to eat | G |
And though their future may be dim | I |
They laugh a lot | J |
Am I tearful for Brother Tim | I |

I know he goes to work each day | K |
With flagging feet | G |
'Tis hard even with decent pay | K |
To make ends meet | G |
But when my sterile home I see | L |
So smugly prim | I |
Although my banker bows to me | L |
I envy Tim | I |
