The Land God Forgot Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGFG HIHJ

The lonely sunsets flare forlornA
Down valleys dreadly desolateB
The lordly mountains soar in scornA
As still as death as stern as fateC
-
The lonely sunsets flame and dieD
The giant valleys gulp the nightE
The monster mountains scrape the skyD
Where eager stars are diamond brightE
-
So gaunt against the gibbous moonF
Piercing the silence velvet piledG
A lone wolf howls his ancient runeF
The fell arch spirit of the WildG
-
O outcast land O leper landH
Let the lone wolf cry all expressI
The hate insensate of thy handH
Thy heart's abysmal lonelinessJ
