The Decision Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEFE GHGHIHIH J JKLHL MHNHOHO

Said she 'Although my husband JimA
Is with his home contentB
I never should have married himA
We are so differentC
Oh yes I know he loves me wellD
Our children he adoresE
But he's so dull and I rebelF
Against a life that boresE
-
'Of course there is another manG
Quite pennyless is heH
And yet with hope and joy we planG
A home beyond the seaH
Though I forfeit the name of wifeI
And neighbours ostraciseH
Such happiness will crown our lifeI
Their censure we'll despiseH
-
'But then what will my children thinkJ
Whose love is pure and true '-
Said I 'Your memory will stinkJ
If they should speak of youK
Your doting Jim will curse your nameL
And if you make a messH
Of life oh do not in your shameL
Dare hope for happiness '-
-
Well still with Jim she lives sereneM
And has of kiddies threeH
'Oh what a fool I might have beenN
To leave my home ' says sheH
'Of course Jim is a priceless boreO
But he's so sweet to meH
Come darling won't you let me pourO
Another cup of tea '-
