Segregation Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEFEGG HIHIBB CJCJKK BLBMNN

I stood beside the silken ropeA
Five dollars in my handB
And waited in my patient hopeA
To sit anear the BandB
And hear the famous Louie playC
The best hot trumpet of todayC
-
And then a waiter loafing nearD
Says in a nasty toneE
Old coon we don't want darkies hereF
Beat it before you're thrownE
So knowin' nothin' I could doG
I turned to go and there was LouG
-
I think he slapped that Dago's faceH
His voice was big an' loudI
An' then he leads me from my placeH
Through all that tony crowdI
World famous Louie by the handB
Took me to meet his famous BandB
-
Listen you folks I heard him sayC
Here's Grand papa what's comeJ
Savin' he teached me how to playC
I mighta been a bumJ
Come on Grand pop git up an' showK
How you kin trumpet Ol' Black JoeK
-
Tremblin' I played before his BandB
You should have heard the cheersL
Them swell folks gave me such a handB
My cheeks was wet wi' tearsM
An' now I'm off to tell the wifeN
The proudest night o' all ma lifeN
