Sailor Son Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABAB CDEDED FGFGFG FAFAFA

When you come home I'll not be roundA
To welcome youB
They'll take you to a grassy moundA
So neat and newB
Where I'll be sleeping O so soundA
The ages throughB
-
I'll not be round to broom the hearthC
To feed the chicksD
And in the wee room of your birthE
Your bed to fixD
Rose room that knew your baby mirthE
Your tiny tricksD
-
I'll not be round The garden stillF
With bees will humG
To cheerful you the throstle's billF
Will not be dumbG
The rambler rose will overspillF
When you will comeG
-
Bird bee and bloom they'll greet you allF
With scented soundA
Yet though the joy of your footfallF
Will thrill the groundA
Your mother with her old grey shawlF
Will not be roundA
