| I'm glad my poems you have read | F |
| I feel quite flattered I confess | G |

| I recognized depite his skin | K |
| The perfect gentleman within | K |

| Have all your books of verse at home | M |

| I used to savour them with joy | N |

| Can tell the tale of Sam McGee | D |
| While Tom my son that's only two | B |
| Has heard the yarn of Dan McGrew | B |

| My taste is Eliot and Auden | K |

| I felt quite snubbed and so would you | B |
| And yet I shook him by the hand | O |
| Impressed that he could understand | O |
| The works of those two tops I mention | K |
| So far beyond my comprehension | K |
| A humble bard of boys and barmen | K |
| Disdained alas by Pullman carmen | K |
