Periods Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDEF GHGHIJIJ KLKLMNMO

My destiny it is tonightA
To sit with pensive browB
Beside my study fire and writeA
This verse I'm making nowB
This Period this tiny dotC
My pencil has definedD
By centuries of human thoughtE
Was predestinedF
-
And my last period of allG
With patience now I seeH
The final point so very smallG
That locks my life for meH
Yet in eternity of timeI
They relatively seemJ
So like the dot that rounds my rhymeI
Or ends my dreamJ
-
For each was preordained by FateK
Since human life beganL
So are the little and the greatK
Linked in the life of manL
And as I wait without heartacheM
The pencil point of GodN
To pattern predestined I makeM
ThisO
