My Picture Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCBCB DEDBBDBD FBFBGHIH

I made a picture all my heartA
I put in it and all I knewB
Of canvas cunning and of ArtA
Of tenderness and passion trueB
A worshipped Master came to seeC
Oh he was kind and gentle tooB
He studied it with sympathyC
And sensed what I had sought to doB
-
Said he quot Your paint is fresh and fairD
And I can praise it without ceaseE
And yet a touch just here and thereD
Would make of it a masterpiece quotB
He took the brush from out my handB
He touched it here he touched it thereD
So well he seemed to understandB
And momently it grew more fairD
-
Oh there was nothing I could sayF
And there was nothing I could doB
I thanked him and he went his wayF
And then I slashed my picture throughB
For though his brush with soft caressG
Had made my daub a thing divineH
Oh God I wept with bitternessI
It wasn't mine it wasn't mineH
