My Coffin Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABACDEDF GHGHIJIJ KAKALMLM NONOAPAP

Deeming that I was due to dieA
I framed myself a coffinB
So full of graveyard zeal was IA
I set the folks a laughingC
I made it snugly to my fitD
My joinering was honestE
And sometimes in it I would sitD
And fancy I was non estF
-
I stored it on my cabin shelfG
Forever to remind meH
When I was tickled with myselfG
That Death was close behind meH
Let's be prepared I used to sayI
E're in the Dark we launch usJ
And so with boding day by dayI
I kept me coffin consciousJ
-
Then came that winter dark as doomK
No firing wood had IA
My shack was icy as a tombK
And I was set to dieA
But e'er the losing of my witsL
I saw that coffin thereM
S smashing the damned thing to bitsL
I made a gorgeous flareM
-
I never saw a flame so brightN
So goldenly divineO
As starred the blackness of the nightN
That boneyard box of mineO
And now I go forth coffin shyA
With no more carnal fearsP
For radiantly sure am IA
I'll stack a hundred yearsP
