Local Lad Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFF GHGHII JKJKLL

I never saw a face so brightA
With brilliant blood and joyB
As was the grinning mug last nightA
Of Dick our local boyB
When with a clumsy lucky cloutC
He knocked the champion outC
-
A week ago he swung a pickD
And sweated in a ditchE
Tonight he's togged up mighty slickD
And fancies himself richE
With floozies fine food bubbly drinkF
He'll go to hell I thinkF
-
Unless they make another matchG
And if they do I guessH
The champion won't have a scratchG
But Dick will be a messH
His map will be a muck of goreI
As he sprawls on the floorI
-
Then he'll go back his pick to swingJ
And sweat deep in the mudK
Yet still I see him in the ringJ
So gay with glee and bloodK
Dancing a jig and holding highL
His gloves to climb the skyL
