Horatio Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DADAEE FAFGHH IJIJKL

His portrait hung upon the wallA
Oh how at us he used to stareB
Each Sunday when I made my callA
And when one day it wasn't thereB
Quite quick I seemed to understandC
The light was green to hold her handC
-
Her eyes were amorously litD
I knew she wouldn't mind at allA
Yet what I did was sit and sitD
Seeing that blankness on the wallA
Horatio had a gentle faceE
How would my mug look in his placeE
-
That oblong of wall paper wanF
And while she prattled prettilyA
I sensed the red light going onF
So I refused a cup of teaG
And took my gold topped cane and hatH
My going seemed to leave her flatH
-
Horatio was a decent guyI
And when she ravished from her heartJ
A damsite better man than II
She seemed to me well just a tartJ
Her lack of tact I can't explainK
His picture is it hung againL
