Her kewpie doll and teddy bear | A |
But no she would not play | B |
Although they looked so wistfully | C |
Her favour to implore | D |
She laughed at me with elfin glee | C |
And dashed them to the floor | D |

With shrill of joy she threw them down | E |

Maybe it was for she would look | G |

To day there's just an empty chair | A |
And 'mid a mist of pain | H |
I'd give my life if she were there | A |
To toss her toys again | I |
A tiny ghost is all I see | C |
Who laughs the while I cry | J |
And lifts her little hands with glee | C |
