Heart O' The North Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EDED FBFB

And when I come to the dim trail endA
I who have been Life's roverB
This is all I would ask my friendA
Over and over and overB
-
A little space on a stony hillC
With never another near meD
Sky o' the North that's vast and stillC
With a single star to cheer meD
-
Star that gleams on a moss grey stoneE
Graven by those who love meD
There would I lie alone aloneE
With a single pine above meD
-
Pine that the north wind whinneys throughF
Oh I have been Life's loverB
But there I'd lie and listen toF
Eternity passing overB
