Gypsy Jill Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEF GHGHII AJKJLL EMEMNN

They're hanging Bill at eight o' clockA
And millions will applaudB
He killed and so they have to killC
Such is the will of GodD
His brother Tom is on my bedE
To keep me comfortedF
-
I see his bleary blotchy faceG
I hear his sodden snoreH
He plans that he can take Bill's placeG
I felt worse than a whoreH
As in his arms I cried all nightI
Thinking of poor Bill's plightI
-
I keep my eyes upon the clockA
It nears the stroke of eightJ
I think how bravely Bill will walkK
To meet his gallows fateJ
His loaded gun is in the tentL
I know now what he meantL
-
Though Tom is boastful he will wedE
With me no more to partM
I'll put a bullet through his headE
Another through my heartM
At eight stone dead we three will beN
Bill Tom and meN
