Gignol Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EAEAFDFD GHGHFIFI

Addict of Punch and Judy showsA
I was when I was smallB
My kiddy laughter I supposeA
Rang louder than them allB
The Judge with banter I would baitC
The Copper was a wretchD
But oh how I would hiss my hateC
For grim Jack KetchD
-
Although a grandsire grey I stillE
Love Punch and Judy showsA
And with my toddlers help to fillE
Enthusiastic rowsA
How jolly is their mirth to seeF
And what a sigh they fetchD
When Punch begs to be shown and heF
Jerks up Jack KetchD
-
Heigh ho No more I watch the playG
It is the audienceH
That gives me my delight todayG
Such charm of innocenceH
Immortal mimes It seems to meF
Could I re live my spanI
With gusto I would like to beF
A Punch and Judy ManI
