Fool Faith Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CADA EFEF GAAA HBHB

Said I See yon vast heaven shineA
What earthly sight divinerB
Before such radiant DesignA
Why doubt DesignerB
-
Said he Design is just a thoughtC
In human cerebrationA
And meaningless if Man is notD
Part of creationA
-
But grant Design we may implyE
The job took toil aplentyF
Then why one sole designer whyE
Not ten or twentyF
-
But should there be one Source supremeG
Of matter and of motionA
Why mould it like our man machineA
For daft devotionA
-
Said I You may be right or wrongH
I'll seek not to discoverB
I listen to yon starry songH
Still still God's loverB
