Expectation Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABAB ABABAB ABABAB ABABAB

My flask of wine was ruby redA
And swift I ran my sweet to seeB
With eyes that snapped delight I saidA
How mad with love a lad can beB
The moon was laughing overheadA
I danced as nimbly as a fleaB
-
Thought I In two weeks time we'll wedA
No more a lonesome widow sheB
For I have bought a double bedA
And I will father children threeB
So singing like a lark I spedA
To her who ne'er expected meB
-
And then I went with wary treadA
Her sweet surprise to greet with gleeB
To where her lamplit lattice shedA
A rosy radiance on the leaB
And then my heart sank low like leadA
Two shadows on the blind to seeB
-
A man was sitting on the bedA
And she was nudely on his kneeB
I saw her face drain white with dreadA
I saw her lover madly fleeB
Oh how her blood is ruby redA
And I await the gallows treeB
