Escape Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBAB CCBBCB DDEEDE EEFFEF GGHHGH IIJJIJ AAKKAKA

Tell me Tramp where I may goA
To be free from human woeA
Say where I may hope to findB
Ease of heart and peace of mindB
Is thee not some isle you knowA
Where I may leave Care behindB
-
So spoke one is sore distressC
And I answered softly YesC
There's an isle so sweet and kindB
So to clemency inclinedB
So serene in lovelinessC
That the blind may lead the blindB
-
Where there is no shade of fearD
For the sun shines all the yearD
And there hangs on every treeE
Fruit and food for you an meE
With each dawn so crystal clearD
How like heaven earth can beE
-
Where in mild and friendly climeE
You will lose all count of timeE
See the seasons blend in oneF
Under sovereignty of sunF
Day with day resolve in rhymeE
Reveries and nothing doneF
-
You will mock the ocean roarG
Knowing you will evermoreG
Bide beside a lorn lagoonH
Listen to the ripples croonH
On the muteness of the shoreG
Silver shattered in the moonH
-
Come let's quit this sorry strifeI
Seek a sweeter saner lifeI
Go so far so very farJ
It just seems another starJ
Go where joy and love are rifeI
Go where peace and plenty areJ
-
But he answered Brother noA
To your isle I'll never goA
For the pity in my heartK
Will not let me live apartK
From God's world of want and woeA
I will stay and play my partK
Strive and suffer Be it soA
