Dylan Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCE FGFGHIHI JKJKLMLM

And is it not a gesture grandA
To drink oneself to deathB
Oh sure 'tis I can understandA
Being of sober breathB
And so I do not sing successC
But dirge the damned who fallD
And who contempt for life expressC
Through alcoholE
-
Of Stephen Foster and of PoeF
Of Burns and Wilde I thinkG
And weary men who dared to goF
The wanton way of drinkG
Strange mortals blind to bitter blameH
And deaf to loud delightI
Who from the shades of sin and shameH
Enstar our nightI
-
Among those dupes of destinyJ
Add D T to my listK
Although his verse you may agreeJ
Leaves one in mental mistK
Oh ye mad poets loth of lifeL
Who peace in death divineM
Pass not by pistol poison knifeL
Drown drown in wineM
