The road's a rut the sky's a frown | A |
I know you're plumb fed up with living | B |
Fate birches you and wry the rod | C |
Snap out you fool Don't let down God | C |

And weary is the row your hoeing | B |
You have no home you drift and drift | D |
Seems folks don't care the way you're going | B |
Well make them care you're not afraid | E |
Step on the gas you'll make the grade | E |

In you His loving light is shining | B |
All of you that is fine and true | F |
Is part of Him so quit your whining | B |
buck up son for your Maker's sake | G |
