Dedication To Providence Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFADGD

I loved to toy with tuneful rhymeA
My fancies into verse to weaveB
For as I walked my words would chimeA
So bell like I could scarce believeB
My rhymes rippled like a brookC
My stanzas bloomed like blossoms gayD
And that is why I dream this bookC
A verseman's holidayD
-
The palm blades brindle in the blazeE
Of sunsets splendouring the seaF
The Gloaming is a lilac hazeE
That impish stars stab eagerlyF
O Land of Song Oh golden climeA
O happy me whose work is playD
Please take this tribute of my rhymesG
A verseman's holidayD
