Is very fresh and very fair | A |
A dazzling eyeful | B |
She throws upon me such a spell | B |
That though my love I dare not tell | B |
My heart is sighful | B |
She has the cutest brown caniche | C |
The French for poodle on a leash | C |
While I have Bingo | D |
A dog of doubtful pedigree | E |
Part pug or pom or chow maybe | E |
But full of stingo | D |
- | |
The daughter of the village Maire | A |
Would like to speak with me I'll swear | A |
In her sweet lingo | D |
But parlez vous I find a bore | F |
For I am British to the core | F |
And so is Bingo | D |
Yet just to day as we passed by | G |
Our two dogs haulted eye to eye | G |
In friendly poses | H |
Oh how I hope to morrow they | I |
Will wag their tails in merry play | I |
And rub their noses | J |
- | |
- | |
- | |
The daughter of the village Maire | A |
Today gave me a frigid stare | A |
My hopes are blighted | K |
I'll tell you how it came to pass | L |
Last evening in the Square alas | L |
My sweet I sighted | M |
And as she sauntered with her pet | N |
Her dainty her adored Frolette | N |
I cried By Jingo | D |
Well call it chance or call it fate | N |
I made a dash Too late too late | N |
Oh naughty Bingo | D |
- | |
The daughter of the village Maire | A |
That you'll forgive me is my prayer | A |
And also Bingo | D |
You should have shielded your caniche | C |
You saw my dog strain on his leash | C |
And like a spring go | D |
They say that Love will find a way | I |
It definitely did that day | I |
Oh canine noodles | O |
Now it is only left to me | E |
To wonder will your offspring be | E |
Poms pugs or poodles | O |
