Belated Bard Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCE FGHGIJIJ CKCLMNMN OGOGAPAP

The songs I made from joy of earthA
In wanton wanderingB
Are rapturous with Maytime mirthA
And ectasy of SpringB
But all the songs I sing todayC
Take tediously the earD
Novemberishly dark are theyC
With mortuary fearE
-
For half a century has goneF
Since first I rang a rhymeG
And that is long to linger onH
The tolerance of TimeG
This blue veined hand with which I writeI
Yet answers to my willJ
Though four score years I count to nightI
I am unsilent stillJ
-
Senile old fool I hear you sayC
Beside the dying fireK
You huddle and stiff fingered playC
Your tired and tinny lyreL
Well though your patience I may tryM
Bear with me yet awhileN
And though you scorn my singing IM
Will thank you with a smileN
-
For I such soul delighting joyO
Have found in simple rhymeG
Since first a happy hearted boyO
I coaxed a word to chimeG
That ere I tryst with Mother EarthA
Let from my heart ariseP
A song of youth and starry mirthA
Then close my eyesP
