My heart is preserved in my bed | A |
I only run I cannot walk | B |
I have the beautiful sky to stalk | B |
Down the valley through the plains | C |
I am waiting for the cloud that rains | C |
I am the maiden of the mist | D |
I go on flowing with a twist | D |

I make the hearts of people pure | E |
They worship me like gods for sure | E |
They come to me to find solace | F |
And go back with a happy face | G |
Some give me garlands of marigolds | H |
And some silk clothes with many folds | H |
I do love carrying these wondrous gifts | I |
In my water along the drifts | I |

In the cool night under the moon | J |
After the dreariness and heat of the noon | J |
I happily flow like silver that glows | K |
The night wind soothes me when it blows | K |
I go on without stopping for a rest | L |
As that is what I like the best | L |
I will keep running as the days go by | M |
Till my distant end is anigh | N |
