Rhyme Scheme: AABB CCDDDDD EEFGHHHIJJDKD

Madness madnessA
Why can I shake the sadnessA
To many choicesB
Too many voicesB
-
Which one to pickC
Which one should stickC
The enemy masquerades as an angel of lightD
How do i even begin to conceive what is rightD
This is a fightD
This is a fightD
Please help me LORD to do what is rightD
-
The LORD is my shepherd i shall not wantE
But that is exactly what I wantE
To be lead by the SpiritF
To be totally committedG
To the One who gave it all for meH
How then do I begin to seeH
I can only offer my life to theeH
And pray to You who hears indeedI
Lead my life oh LORDJ
give me your Spirit and your swordJ
To fight the good fightD
And win this battleK
Only by your mightD

Sonja Fourie: Excellent descriptive poem Reinhardt. You so accurately describe our daily battle between good and evil...the spirit and the flesh. Well done!
