In the twinkle of an eyes
Things fall into pieces
The conflict of choice
The battle of supremacy.
Hearts break closely apart
Originality carefully lost
Relation ignored and betrayed
Sweet pain a guiding force.
No balm in Gilead can heal
This beautiful wound
The Gap is wider
With no bridge to hold it.
If originality is not found
Decisions and actions not employed
This forbidden fate
Will prevail and rule.
The Lacuna

Poet's note: The Poem describes the gap in relationship which could lead to break up resulting from little things from the people involve and if care is not taken it could lead to a fatal and painful end.
The poem explains some of the reasons for this gap and had thus offered a solution at the last stanza on how to save the relationship.

Jude Chukwuemeka Muoneke : This poem is so touchy and emotional. Your choice of words triggers fear, hurts and neglects from the Lover who has abandoned his woman for a while. Maybe the Lover is burdened with life circumstances that has tied him down. The struggles of man goes with painful laugher.
Just wish the Poet Persona will understand that life isn't rosy for the man. I strongly believe that things will fall in pleasant places soon.
Kudos to the Poet Persona. This poem will stand the test of time. More grace to your Muse great Poet. Am happy the woman you are becoming.
